I am a retired Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant. I am also certified as a Reading Disabilities Specialist, Teacher of the Handicapped and Supervisor. I earned my BS at LIU in Brooklyn, NY, my MS at Hunter College, NYC and various advanced certifications from Wm. Paterson Univ. in NJ.
Experience
Along with working as an LDT-C, I worked for a private organization doing remediation with youngsters who had different learning styles and who greatly profited from carefully constructed techniques for improving their capabilities. From this experience emerged highly effective methods for teaching the basics in reading, spelling and math. I not only enjoy sharing my knowledge with students, but with parents who would like to know how to reinforce these skills at home, as well as other teachers.
